Is it possible to cancel my current email address and create a new one to replace it?

I am not referring to yahoo's new feature(adding an extra address). I want to delete my address and replace it with an entirely different one. Also when doing this, is it possible to tranfer all of my current mail to the new address?

You can always create a new email account. As for the email, you would have to manually forward it to the new one. Once you have everything done then just leave the address alone for 4 months and yahoo will delete it from the system. If you don't want to do that you can go to the link below to delete you email address.
