How come when I create a myspace I can't verify my email address?

I tried to send a friend request to a friend and this THING pops up out of nowhere sayin that I can't send messages, friends requests, and a lot more stuff like that until I verify my email address! So there's this button that says send verification email and I click it and then it says the email has been sent and will arrive shortly! Well i've been waiting for the past 2 days for this thing to come and it won't come! I called my friends about it and NONE of them had to go through this when they made their pages. I've tried everything that I can think of to be able to send friend requests but I can't get past this verification stuff. None of my friends knew what to do, so I ask here. Please be specific for the steps that I need to take to verify my email address. I mean SPECIFIC because I want my page NOW. I'm not asking in a mean way, I just really want to get this over with.

Look in your spam or junk mail folder. It may have gone there.

or that might be a sign telling you not to get a myspace.

Reply:You must have gave them the wrong email address or you have to wait awhile before they send it!! It might be in bulk or spam. You should make sure the email is right!





If it isn't you can always go to account settings and change the email address then verify it.
Reply:check your junk folder just incase

make sure its something nobody else has, though.
Reply:you have to check your email and there should be a link. click on that and that should be all
Reply:If its in your hotmail or Gmail or yahoo, its in your spam folder.

Reply:I have the same exact problem. I never receive the stupid verification link. It is driving me crazy!!!! I tried to change email and even made a whole new page and it still doesn't work. I wrote to customer service 3 dam times and they haven't responded. If you figure it out please let me know. My email is rampage240@yahoo.com. Fill me in and if I figure it out I will let you know. Reply:There should be a button that says "Not able to receive" or something along the lines. Check your profile data and check to see if the email address you put in is the correct one.
Reply:because someone else has the same one as you that also happened to me i had to use my cousins.
