I am trying to create an alternate email using my gmail email address?

I am trying to create an alternate email using my gmail email address, which is "genaathome@gmail.com" with out "".





Instead what keeps coming up for me to verify is: gena@gmail.com





This is NOT what I typed in. What's going on? Why won't the system accept this genaathome@gmail.com as my alternate email address?





GMail had no problem with it so why does YAHOO have a problem with it??? Thanks!

apparently, alternate email is defined as an exisiting email account you use, in which they can send u emails if by any chance ur email u have doesnt work, so you have to have an existing one for them. u dotn ahve to do it though.

Reply:maybe somebody else already has it...I'm not sure what your problem is...are you trying to set up genaathome@yahoo.com? aybe it has too many letters. why not go to yahoo mail help and ask them to help you?
Reply:I think that you should that you have a secondary account. It is pretty easy. Type in. If doesn't check CAREFULLY.
