How can i cancel my email address and create a new one?

i have a virus or something like it in which excessive emails of illicit materials that i am not interested in are sent to me on a daily basis and each email is sent from a different address every time so i don't know how to stop them

I have the same problem. I don't think it is a virus - checked for this - but the result of you visiting a website (a perfectly innocuous one - I AM SUSPICIOUS OF VISITING SITES POSTED IN ANSWERS AS THE CULPRITS! -and then your e-mail address being sold on. If you want to keep your present address don't open them just keep deleting. Otherwise create a new address from the page where we log in - Are You a New User? - then ignore your present one and do not open it. In a few weeks - some say it is about 4 mths it will become defunct.
Reply:Dunno how, you might need to call cutsomer service. You can mark the e-mails as spam, or just abandon your account, and open a new one.
