Can I create an alternate email address in my yahoo account that I can access in my original email?

I would like to place an ad in the newspaper and have a non-identifiable yahoo email address to have interested parties send their replies to - can I have this new email address forwarded to my present yahoo email address? It would save me opening another yahoo account, correct? Thanks for your help. ~K~

Yes, you are allowed one extra e-mail address, that receives mail sent to that address (messages arrive in the same Inbox as your primary e-mail).

To create a "sub-account", you actually have to go to the Yahoo! Mail page, regardless of whether you're using the original Yahoo! Mail or Yahoo! Mail Beta.

There is an "Accounts" section under Options. To save you some time, here is the link:

There, near the bottom of the page, there will be a description on how you can create the "sub-account". It's actually very simple - all you really need to do is choose an e-mail address for the secondary account.
Reply:WHERE is this "sub-account"??

What a mess! Cannot find about alternate email addresses, even the ones I already have from yahoo! Report Abuse
