I understand you can create a new email address with yahoo, but why can't you delete your old email adress??

if you don't use it (i.e. do not log in for a period of 3 months) it will become inactive and it will delete on its own.





if you do not want to use it anymore, just don't use it. It is better that way anyway to prevent someone (like an ex-husband) going in and deleting on you. My ex-husband did it to my AOL account

The reason you can't delete the old one is because it is your ID. The other one is only an extra e-mail address.

Reply:I didn't know that you can't delete you old e-mail address. I deleted mine. I don't exactly remember how, but I had to be able to do it somehow. Oh, and yes it was a Yahoo! e-mail address.

When you find the one you want, just click on sign in, new user.
