Reply:YOu can create new accounts on your User List in the control panel, but as for the Email address they are not tied to a specific profile. YOU can have many Yahoo addresses and access each one with one PC Profile. Any person you give access to your computer should have their own PC Profile whether or not they have a different Email address through yahoo.

To delete your email account you have to delete the Yahoo ID that goes along with it. That means you lose anything that goes along with that ID like Answers, 360 page, anything you have saved on Yahoo.


If you just want your email account deactivated just dont visit it for 4 months and Yahoo will deactivate it and everything in it will be deleted but you can still keep your ID.

You can also check their user profile and see if they left the date the account was created on there. http://profiles.yahoo.com/xxxxxxxxxx Replace the xxxxxxxx with the ID. That may give a general idea at least of how long ago the account was created. Aside from that you're out of luck. Generally most companies won't reveal that info about their users; invasion of privacy.

I have the same problem. I don't think it is a virus - checked for this - but the result of you visiting a website (a perfectly innocuous one - I AM SUSPICIOUS OF VISITING SITES POSTED IN ANSWERS AS THE CULPRITS! -and then your e-mail address being sold on. If you want to keep your present address don't open them just keep deleting. Otherwise create a new address from the page where we log in - Are You a New User? - then ignore your present one and do not open it. In a few weeks - some say it is about 4 mths it will become defunct.
Reply:Dunno how, you might need to call cutsomer service. You can mark the e-mails as spam, or just abandon your account, and open a new one.
